Focus Areas:

  • Adults, Children/Adolescents - assessment and counselling

  • Interested in or have experience working with complex trauma and neurodevelopment presentations

  • Supportive, collaborative, and growth-focused environment

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice

  • Deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health conditions

  • Work with clients from diverse referral sources (e.g., NDIS, private, third-party)

  • Create individual treatment plans using recovery-oriented, best-practice approaches

  • Manage a complex caseload with increasing clinical independence

  • Deliver both individual and group therapeutic services

Communication / Teamwork

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, psychiatrists, other psychologists)

  • Prepare reports and maintain clinical documentation to professional standards

  • Attend supervision, team meetings, and performance development activities

Work Unit Management

  • Participate in peer supervision and mentoring

  • Contribute to quality improvement and outcome evaluations

  • Uphold WHS, EEO, and anti-discrimination policies

Marketing Activities

  • Assist with non-clinical promotional tasks (e.g., blogs, social media content)

Additional Duties

  • Complete tasks as directed by the Director

Requirements:

Essential

  • Masters/Doctorate in Psychology or completed 4+2 or 5+1 internship

  • Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist

  • Eligible for Medicare provider number

  • Membership (or eligibility) with APS or AAPI

  • Working with Children Check and Police Check

  • Professional indemnity insurance

  • Australian working rights

Desirable

  • Experience with psychometric tools and report writing

  • Familiarity with NDIS and private practice settings

  • Skills in trauma-specific interventions (e.g., EMDR, somatic work)

  • Experience with neurodiverse presentations
